Design of an Ecotourism Cabin Resort Based on a Regionalism Approach in Sawangan, Magelang Regency, Central Java

Abstract

Magelang has great tourism potential, especially in the Sawangan area which is rich in natural and cultural beauty. However, the development of the tourism sector still faces challenges in terms of sustainability and local economic balance. The designer of the ecotourism cabin as a form of increasing tourist attractiveness and also supporting the economic growth of the local community. The design is carried out by considering aspects of sustainability, utilization of local materials, aspects of regionalism, and integration with the surrounding landscape. The proposed design focuses on the application of ecotourism principles which include environmental preservation, and economic benefits for local communities. With this concept, it is expected that ecotourism cabins can be a comfortable accommodation solution for tourists while contributing to environmental preservation and empowerment of the surrounding community.
