Hubungan antara Tipe Kepribadian Introvert dengan Kesepian Emosional pada Istri yang Menjalani Long Distance Marriage

Abstract

This study attempted to search the association between the type of introverts personality and emotional loneliness in wives who are in long distance marriage. The hypothesis tested was based on the assumption that there was a correlation between the type of introverts personality and emotional loneliness. Higher emotional loneliness was correlated with higher the type of introverts personality. The wives who are in long distance marriage are the subject in this research as much as 32 respondents. This sample were took with snowball technique. Data were collected by two scales include emotional loneliness which was make by researcher refers to the aspect of Weiss (Yang, 2009; Zamunner, 2008; Gielverd dan Tilburg, 2006) and type of introverts personality scale was made by researcher refers to the aspects of Costa dan McCrae (Pervin, Cervone, dan John, 2005). The collected data was analysis by PASW Statistics for Windows Version 18.0 and processes by Product Moment Pearson. The hypothesis result with used by Product Moment Pearson indicated that the correlation is r = 0,403 with p=0,011 (p<0,05) and showed that there was positive correlation between the type of introvert personality and emotional loneliness in wives who are in long distance marriage.
