Hubungan antara Dukungan Sosial dengan Intensi Berhenti Merokok pada Remaja

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out whether there is positive correlation between social support with intention of smoking cessation of Senior High School students.The sample of the research are 97 male students of SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Bantul and active smoker. This research use a scale which is constructed by the researcher. The scale of social support is used in this research is based on the aspects stated by House (smet, 1994) and the scale intention of smoking cessation is based on the aspects stated by Fisbein and Ajzen (Azwar, 1995).The collected data were processes by product moment analysis. The research shows that there is positive correlation between social support with intention of smoking cessation of Senior High School students with $r$ value 0.216 and $p = 0.017$ ($p < 0.05$).
