Abstract
TITIK PURWODADI Tourist Hub is envisioned as a central gateway that connects visitors to the diverse natural, agricultural, and
cultural attractions found throughout the Purwodadi region. The core problem addressed by this project lies on three scales: at
the macro level, connecting all tourism destinations within Purwodadi; at the meso level, facilitating and showcasing the
unique potentials of each padukuhan; and at the micro level, creating a space where visitors can experience the true sense of
place unique to Purwodadi. This design applies the Critical Regionalism approach, which is guided by six key principles—
contextual integration, climatic sensitivity, topographical adaptation, local material usage, tectonic honesty, and cultural
representation—ensuring that the architectural outcome is both contemporary and rooted in its locality. The spatial
composition adopts a layering concept, organizing zones into Public, Economic, and Open Green Space categories that follow
and respect the natural topography of the site. With the establishment of the tourist hub, Purwodadi stands to gain increased
visitor engagement, stimulation of the local economy, and the strengthening of its regional identity through a thoughtfully
designed and place-responsive intervention.
