Kajian Pengendalian Abrasi Pantai Pulau Lemon Di Kabupaten Manokwari

Abstract

The coastal areas in Manokwari Regency have a lot of damage due to erosion, abrasion, and sedimentation which require further identification to find solutions to deal with the damage that has occurred. To evaluate coastal damage objectively, we need a beach damage criteria which is divided into three criteria, the criteria of coastal environmental damage, the criteria of erosion/abrasion, and criteria of sedimentation. Each of these criteria has an assessment parameter which will be weighted based on the scoring table. To support that, we conduct several analysis such as hydrometric analysis, hydrological analysis and hydrooceanographic analysis. The results of the analysis become a reference in coastal beach damage’s assessment. Based on the analysis results, the depth water levels of Lemon Island ranges from 0 to -48 m LWS. The maximum wave height of Lemon Island is 1.2 m in the east and 0.93 m in the south. The results of coastal beach damage’s assessment based on the scoring table of the damage criteria, is to build an alternative sea wall building for handling coastal abrasion on Lemon Island because the building will be function as protection to the coastline
