Abstract
Trikora No. 6 Yogyakarta. In an effort to improve the service to visitors of Museum Sonobudoyo will increase the facilities of museum infrastructure. Based on Masterplan Museum Sonobudoyo Year 2014 has been mandated to undertake the construction of a new building and its environment located at the rear of the complex Sonobudoyo Museum Unit 1, Jl. Trikora No. 6 Yogyakarta. The construction of Sonobudoyo Museum's new building and its environment is necessary considering the collection exhibited at the Permanent Exhibition is only 397 out of 62,661 or 0.6% of the entire collection. (TOR Preparation of DED Fixed Exhibition Building Sonobudoyo Museum) By the urgency of the need for additional facilities to improve the facilities and infrastructure of museums, it is need a special method in the process of designing the Fixed Exhibition Building Sonobudoyo Museum. Conservation Architecture with Infill Design approach was chosen to be a design solution considering the Sonobudoyo Museum Complex itself is a Heritage area (Ministerial Decree NoPM.89 / PW.007 / MKP / 2011) which needs special handling. This paper contains an analysis of the level of exploration and conformity to the design process that has been done with the Infill Architecture method in the design of the Permanent Exhibition Building of Sonobudoyo Museum.
