The South China Sea has been a source of contention since 1947. Beijing's claim is based on a nine-dash line that passes across a number of nations, including Taiwan, the Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei, and Vietnam. PRC bases its argument on a fundamental assertion supported by a nine-dash line that encompasses about 90% of this international body of water. Beijing also wants to increase its power, for example by building additional islands or establishing military installations. In particular for those who were actively involved in this tension, the phenomena undoubtedly became a common concern. This raises the question of why it needs this water so badly. In order to examine China’s behavior, the author would like to investigate constructivism theory by Alexander Wendt elements that affect China's capacity to assertively claim this territory.en_US
