Design of Eco Hub : Urban Spatial Arrangement of Tugu Jogja Area With Re - Naturalization Approach

Urban development is unavoidable , and one of the most important factors influencing it is accessibility . Making it easier to get to and from cities encourages individuals to move in quest of a better living . The worse the environmental quality , the more heavily populated the city is , or when the city's population increase has surpassed the carrying capacity of its environment . The expansion of urban infrastructure to meet the requirements of its residents frequently consumes green space , lowering the amount of green open space in cities . Landowners may also readily sell their land because it is more cost effective than only being utilized for agriculture . Tugu Jogja is a monument that is often used as a symbol of the city of Yogyakarta . Located at the intersection of Jalan Jenderal Sudirman and Jalan Margo Utomo . Tugu Jogja has a symbolic value which is a magical line that connects Parangtritis Beach and Panggung Krapyak in Bantul Regency , Yogyakarta Palace in Yogyakarta City and Mount Merapi in Sleman Regency . Being a widely known landmark throughout the country . Tugu Jogja is no wonder it has always been the primary destination for tourists to visit this area . Regarding the arrangement of the monument area itself . it is increasingly possible to develop improvements in various aspects , not least in terms of re - greening the area and beyond . Along with the continued development in the area , the balance between the existence of nature , which has also been present in the life of the Javanese community since ancient times , has turned their attention to culture in learning from nature and living sustainably with nature . This is also in line with the main goals of the 2030 SDGs . mainly to preserve the environment . Creating a more modern Tugu Jogja area is also considered rich in all its uniqueness but still in line with the principles of environmental conservation in real terms .
