Abstract
This study explores the problem of overemployment at PT PP Semarang Demak,
focusing on the causes, implications, and potential solutions to these challenges.
Using a qualitative research approach, this study aims to provide an in depth
understanding of the impact of overwork on employee performance and wellbeing,
with an emphasis on identifying effective strategies for managing Work Overloads.
Data was collected through semi structured interviews with staff members and
employees, participatory observation, and document analysis. The study identified
several key factors that contribute to overload, including insufficient human resources, unclear distribution of tasks, and inefficient systems. These findings
highlight that overwork leads to negative implications such as decreased
productivity, increased stress, and lower employee satisfaction. In addition, the
study suggests practical solutions such as clearer task distribution, flexible
scheduling, better communication, and the use of time management tools such as
to do lists. This study contributes to the understanding of overwork in the context
of large scale construction projects and offers actionable recommendations to
improve employee welfare and project performance at PT PP Semarang Demak.
