| dc.description.abstract | This research discusses why NATO was involved in the Russia-Ukraine conflict in 2014 - 2022. This study uses the theoretical framework of defensive realism by Kennezt Waltz. This research analyses the dynamics of NATO's complex involvement in the conflict that has captured the world's attention, namely the Russia-Ukraine conflict starting from the highlight in 2014, namely the annexation of Crimea as a starting point and increasing tensions in Eastern Ukraine until February 2022 when Russia launched a large-scale invasion of Ukraine. It outlines NATO's position on the conflict, such as NATO's commitment to Ukraine's sovereignty and steps taken at an early stage, as well as diplomatic and sanctions efforts in coordination with relevant parties. | en_US |
