Abstract
Manual procurement and inventory processes in large organizations have the tendency to be inefficient and inaccurate, thereby creating the problems associated with them. This study discusses how Odoo, an open-source ERP solution, can be implemented in the Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) in terms of procurement and inventory systems, applying the Waterfall methodology. The study starts by highlighting the major operational issues in the Facilities Department of YIA, followed by the shortfalls of the existing manual operations that utilize Word, Excel, and WhatsApp to perform the given operational tasks. The study presents the Odoo ERP system that has the capacity to satisfy these operational needs. It outlines the steps of rolling out the procurement and inventory modules. Under the Waterfall methodology, the research identifies the following steps such as observations, interviews, gap analysis, BPMN model, and repeated improvement using the feedback given by users. The project, applied to YIA, led to the high efficiency of procurement, real-time tracking of inventory, and the automated periodical reporting of data, which greatly lessened the manual workups. The results highlighted the need for user training and customization as a success factor in ERP adoption. Based on the study, it can be concluded that the implementation of Odoo ERP can bring significant improvements to its operations at YIA and can even be used to help understand how to implement better efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making within comparable organization environments
