Abstract
This study attempted to search the correlation between self control with sleep disorder (insomnia). The hypothesis tested was based on the assumption that higher self-control was correlated with lower sleep disorder (insomnia). The subjects participated in this study were 75 students at the Faculty of Economics Islamic University of Indonesia. The characteristic of subjects was 18-24 years old. Data collected by, self-control and sleep disorder (insomnia) scales. Self-control scale developed by modifying the self-control scale by Puspitasari (2007) based on the classification of self-control as suggested by Sarafino (1994). Sleep disorder (insomnia) scale constructed by researcher based on the classification in sleep disorder (insomnia), as suggested in PPDGJ III (1993). Method of data analysis in this study using Non Parametric Statistic from Spearman. Showing that self control is not correlated to the level of sleep disorder (insomnia) (r = -0.094 with p = 0.212 (p> 0.05)).
